Law students who participate in Project Safe Space have the opportunity to meet clients from the domestic violence community services and speak face to face with real people needing these services.
The students will then complete set assessments using real information and then provide the clients with documentation, for instance, a written chronology, that may be used to further assist the client. It is an enriching academic exercise that will be more congruent with the sort of work commonly experienced in the legal profession.
